WESTON CROSS THE BORDER AS THEY TRAVEL TO MERTHYR
The Seagulls will cross the border as they face Merthyr Town on Saturday 8th January, 3pm kick off.
Weston come into this fixture having rescued a point against Truro in the 94th minute. A smart Alfie Moulden finish gave Scott Bartlett’s side a point after a 2-2 draw. The other goal was courtesy of Jason Pope, nominating himself for goal of the season with an outstanding effort.
The Welsh side currently lie 21st in the league table compared to the Seagulls’ 10th position. As it stands, Weston have 23 more points than Merthyr and are just 5 points off the play-off places.
This is the second meeting between these two sides this campaign. Back in August, the Seagulls ran out 3-1 winners thanks to goals from Sam Avery, Dayle Grubb and Scott Laird.
