WESTON FACE HUNGERFORD IN MASSIVE SIX-POINTER
Tomorrow afternoon, the Seagulls face fellow relegation battlers Hungerford Town as the league enters the home run.
After a 0 – 5 thrashing at home to Wealdstone on Tuesday evening, Marc McGregor’s men will need to reach their performance levels from the Torquay United win last Saturday if they are to pull themselves toward the teams in front of them. After Tuesday’s defeat, manager Marc McGregor has said that nobody is guaranteed a place on the team sheet.
Last weekend, Hungerford got a point at Woking with a 1 – 1 draw, following consecutive defeats against Welling and Chippenham. For the Crusaders, Cameron Hargreaves will serve the final game of a three-match ban, while winger Darren Foxley may be set for a return after a recent back spasm.
Last time these two sides met was back in November at Bulpit Lane, the Seagulls getting their first win of the season with a 0 – 1 result. The first half was void of action, and minutes into the second half Jarrad Welch had a header clawed away from goal. With 25 minutes left, Brad Ash slotted home a penalty to seal Weston’s first three points of the season.
The game kicks off at 3pm at the Optima Stadium. Tickets for the game are as follows: £12 adults, £8 concessions, £3 U16s and U8s go free. A family ticket costs £20 (2 adults and up to 2 children).
