WESTON HEAD TO AVELEY IN NATIONAL LEAGUE SOUTH CLASH

Weston are on their travels once again as they head to Aveley in the Vanarama National League South this Saturday, 4th November. The match kicks off at 3pm.

The Seagulls will be looking to bounce back from Tuesday night’s 4-2 defeat at Dartford, a game in which Southampton loan striker Luke Pearce scored his first goal for Weston. Earlier on in the night, Reuben Reid had given Weston the lead before Dartford fought back.

It will be another tough away game at Aveley, as The Millers continue to ride the crest of a wave after two successive promotions. After winning the 2021/22 Isthmian Division One North, the Essex side then won the Isthmian Premier Division play-offs after beating Hornchurch in the final at the end of the 2022/23 season. Aveley’s success has continued in their first ever season in Step 2 as they currently sit in second place in the Vanarama National League South, as their remarkable rise continues.

In their last league outing, Aveley won 1-0 at St Albans City after a goal from Alex Hernandez, then on Tuesday The Millers defeated Concord Rangers by three goals to two in the Essex Thames-Side Trophy at their Parkside ground.

This is the first ever meeting between Weston and Aveley, and another intriguing game is expected in Essex this weekend.
