WESTON HEAD TO BEACONSFIELD IN LATEST SOUTHERN LEAGUE AWAY DAY

Weston are back on the road again this Saturday, 26th November as they travel to Beaconsfield Town. The game at Holloways Park kicks off at 3pm.

The Seagulls head to Buckinghamshire top of the Southern League Premier South table after Tuesday’s resounding 4-0 win at Yate Town. A splendid performance saw goals from Reuben Reid, Jacob Jagger-Cane, Sam Avery and Alfie Moulden seal the victory.

Beaconsfield also played in midweek, as they hosted Met Police 24 hours earlier on the Monday evening. The Rams had to settle for a 2-2 draw after conceding a late penalty. Nathan Minhas, a frequent goalscorer for Beaconsfield, was on the scoresheet again and is a player to be wary of. That draw on Monday, and the subsequent results on Tuesday evening see The Rams sit comfortably in twelfth position in the league table.

Despite completing doubles over Poole and Yate in the last week, this is the first time Weston and Beaconsfield have faced each other this season. The last meeting was also at Holloways Park back in January as The Seagulls claimed a hard-fought 2-1 victory thanks to composed finishes in either half from Marlon Jackson and Dayle Grubb.

Earlier on that season, Weston beat Beaconsfield by exactly the same scoreline at the Optima after Grubb’s early penalty and a fantastic goal from Nick McCootie.

A repeat of last season’s results against Beaconsfield will be most welcome, as Scott Bartlett’s side search for another win. However, The Rams possess good attacking threats that will need to be kept quiet, in what is likely to be an entertaining clash on Beaconsfield’s fine playing surface.
