WESTON HOST HARROW IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE CLASH

Weston return home to the Optima Stadium as we welcome Harrow Borough in the Southern League Premier South. The game kicks off at 3pm this Saturday, 27th August.

The Seagulls are in scintillating form having picked up three wins in a row, the latest victory being the 3-1 success at Poole Town last Saturday.

Harrow, meanwhile, are yet to register their first win of the season. After drawing their first two games at Tiverton and at home to Winchester, Borough have since lost their last two at Bracknell and at home to Hanwell Town.

In the corresponding fixture between Weston and Harrow last season, it turned out to be a memorable encounter in front of a bumper home crowd. With Weston needing all three points to secure a play-off place, Harrow took an early lead before goals from Nick McCootie and Marlon Jackson eventually breached the well-organised Harrow back line.

Earlier in that season, Harrow overcame Weston as they scored their winning goal in the 93rd minute in another game where Steve Baker’s side soaked up a lot of pressure.

Another close encounter is likely, but The Seagulls will be looking for their fourth consecutive league victory to carry on their fine form.

TURNSTILES:

We will be operating two turnstiles at our main turnstile block next to the club shop.

Turnstile 1, on the left, will operate on a cash only basis.

Turnstile 2, on the right, will operate on a card only basis.

It helps with congestion and access to the ground if you queue at the correct turnstile.

Please note the entrance for Walking Football & Junior Academy members is now via the main turnstiles. Those eligible members will be admitted entrance as per your team agreement. Junior Academy Parents, you will need to be with the Junior Academy Member at the time of entering.

WESTON-SUPER-MARE AFC SEASON TICKET HOLDERS:

Your entrance using your Season Ticket Card will be via the players’ and officials’ entrance.

CAR PARK:

Our Supporters’ Car Park charges £2.00 to park on a match day. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept card payment for this. So please ensure you have £2.00 available to pay on arrival.

For Season Ticket holders, early arrival is recommended. Your car park will still be for your exclusive use, when full you will be given free parking in the Supporters’ Car Park where possible instead.

FACILITIES WITHIN GROUND:

Please note, our Sportsman Bar will close 90 minutes before kick-off, at which time the turnstiles will be open and access can be made into the ground.

Our Somerset Suite Bar, Kitchen and inside ground Joe’s Bar will all be open. Card payment can be made at all three locations.

CLUB SHOP:

The club shop within The Optima Stadium will be open for all Weston-super-Mare AFC first team games.
