WESTON ON THE ROAD AGAIN AT GOSPORT BOROUGH

Weston’s lengthy run of away games continues as the Seagulls travel to Gosport Borough on Saturday 9th April, 3pm kick-off.

Scott Bartlett’s side will be looking to bounce back from the heartbreak of a week ago when a last minute strike condemned Weston to a 3-2 loss away at Taunton.

Despite dropping points, Weston still remain in the play off places with 3 games to play. Chesham and Yate have 4 and 5 games left respectively.

Gosport most recently travelled to relegation battling Kings Langley but couldn’t find a way past them and had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

The Boro’ sit 9th in the table having amassed 60 points after 38 games of this campaign, 9 less than the Seagulls have in 39 games.

Last time the two sides met was way back in August 2021 and the Boro’ went back to Gosport with 3 points after an 88th minute winner to make it 1-0.

Player-assistant manager Scott Laird knows what this season means to the fans and said this:

”3 games to go and everyone at the club and you as fans we know will be giving everything.

The football we are playing over the last 10-15 games consistently is a pleasure to be apart of.

“We just need to keep believing in our way and philosophy and that is to win every game we play in.

“It’s been a great season so far and we have made great strides as a collective.

“We will give you everything on the pitch and take it one game at a time starting with Gosport.”
