PREVIEW: WESTON TRAVEL TO BOGNOR
This Saturday, Weston make the journey to newly-promoted Bognor Regis as they look to build on their win over Gloucester City on Tuesday.
Weston earned their first three points of the campaign on Tuesday evening, beating Gloucester City 2 – 1 at the Woodspring, thanks to a deflected Dayle Grubb free-kick.
Leading up to the Gloucester game, Weston had lost their first three league games and will be looking to build up some momentum over the next few weeks.
Bognor Regis have got off to a good start in the National League South, currently unbeaten in the league with two wins and two draws. Bognor have conceded two or more goals in all four of their games, but have scored three or more goals in three out of their four league games, meaning that their fixtures have certainly been a goalfest for any neutrals thus far.
Marc McGregor commented ahead of the game, “It’s great to get off the mark with a good win, however we feel that the results haven’t reflected our performances. We now need to kick on from here and back to back wins are important for any team with aspirations of doing well.
“We have good numbers and strength in the squad, and things are really taking shape. There is still lots of hard work ahead but we are up for the challenge “
