WESTON TRAVEL TO CAPITAL TO FACE HENDON

The Seagulls are back on their travels for a Southern League South encounter as they face Hendon on Saturday 20th November, 3pm kick-off.

Weston will be looking to follow up from their excellent midweek win at home to Taunton Town. Goals from Nick McCootie and Lucas Vowles gave Scott Bartlett’s side a 2-0 win and an important 3 points.

The Seagulls now sit in 11th and are on a run of three league wins in a row, coming against Taunton, Poole and Chesham United.

Hendon sit 14th and most recently drew 2-2 away to Beaconsfield. Their last win came away to Salisbury on the 6th November with a 2-0 scoreline.

The Seagulls faithful can look forward to seeing Marlon Jackson pull the Weston shirt on for what is his second stint with the club. Marlon scored 10 goals in the 2018/19 season and returns to the club after signing on a free transfer from Chippenham Town.

GETTING TO THE GROUND

BY CAR – From Staples Corner travel north along the A5, towards Edgware, through West Hendon past Sainsbury’s on your right, to the junction with Kingsbury Road at the traffic lights. Turn into Kingsbury Road and Townsend Lane is the 3rd turning on the left, at the top of the hill. The ground is in the bottom left hand corner of the Silver Jubilee Park. Please note that on site parking is limited and the car park is often closed well before kick off. There is plenty of side street parking, but please park courteously.

BY TRAIN – Nearest National Rail station is Hendon (Thameslink). Buses 83 and 183 pass Hendon station and close to the ground. Best stop to alight 83 is Slough Lane (avoids walk up & down steep hill), and 183 is Townsend Lane.

BY TUBE – Nearest tube station is Kingsbury (Jubilee Line). Approximately a 20 minute walk along main road (turn right out of station) and right down Townsend Lane. Or bus 183 to the top of Townsend Lane.
