WESTON VISIT BASHLEY IN LATEST FRIENDLY FIXTURE
Weston are back in action as they head to the New Forest to take on Bashley this Saturday, July 22nd. The pre-season friendly kicks off at 3pm.
With just two weeks to go before the opening game of the National League South season against Havant & Waterlooville, it’s another opportunity for The Seagulls’ players to gain more sharpness and momentum ahead of the all-important league campaign.
On Tuesday night, Weston were defeated by Cardiff City Under 21s under the Optima floodlights. Dayle Grubb scored his third goal of pre-season with a stunning long-range curling effort that flew into the top corner.
Bashley were also in friendly action on Tuesday night as they lost 3-2 at home to Winchester City. The New Forest outfit, managed by former Salisbury striker Matt Tubbs, play their football in the Southern League Division One South and will provide a good test for the Weston players.
