WESTON VISIT HAMPTON & RICHMOND
Still without three points this season, Marc McGregor’s Weston side journey to a high-flying Hampton & Richmond, who lost their management team and part of their squad to Woking in the summer.
The lack of an experienced player at the back for the Seagulls could be to blame for the lapses in concentration over recent games, with goals coming in the latter stages to prevent Weston from taking three points from their eight games so far. Marc McGregor has his full squad at his disposal, apart from Tom Llewellyn and Liam Kingston who are both out at lower league clubs, with the Seagulls gaffer having hinted at changes recently.
Hampton & Richmond currently sit sixth in the league table with 14 points from their first eight games. Former Hendon manager Gary McCann has put together a capable squad after arriving at The Beveree in the summer, but lost defender Jake Eggleton a couple of days ago after he decided to take up a scholarship at Loughborough University. Former Chelmsford striker Chris Dickson currently leads the way in Hampton’s scoring charts, netting five so far.
Last time the Seagulls travelled to Hampton, it ended in defeat for the away side. Mo Baghdadi scored on his debut with an eventual goal of the season contender, before Bradley Hudson-Odoi and Shaun Jeffers scored within ten minutes before half-time to put the Beavers in front. Just after the hour mark, Hudson-Odoi struck again to secure a 3 – 1 win for Hampton.
