WESTON HOST YEOVIL TOWN IN SOMERSET DERBY UNDER THE LIGHTS
Weston are back at the Optima Stadium as they take on fellow Somerset side Yeovil Town this Tuesday, 5th September. The Vanarama National League South match kicks off at 7:45pm.
We urge supporters of both teams to read the key match information in this preview before attending the Optima Stadium.
The Seagulls head into this fixture looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Eastbourne Borough down on the South Coast. Two excellent strikes from the hosts came either side of Dayle Grubb’s equaliser early in the second-half.
Yeovil Town, meanwhile, were on home soil as they hosted Chelmsford City at Huish Park. The Glovers looked like they were heading for defeat when The Clarets took an 86th minute lead, however Morgan Williams rescued a point for Mark Cooper’s side with an injury-time equaliser to earn a 1-1 draw.
Since relegation from Step 1 at the end of last season, Yeovil have picked up eleven points from their seven games so far having gained home victories over St Albans, Truro City and Tonbridge Angels. The Glovers have also picked up two 1-1 draws with Maidstone and Chelmsford at Huish Park, while their two defeats have been on the road at Hemel and Havant & Waterlooville.
A bumper home crowd can expect a keenly-fought encounter for this local derby under the Optima floodlights, in what is the first ever league fixture between the two sides.

Weston-super-Mare AFC supporters will be able to buy tickets at the turnstiles, by Facilities Block/3G pitch, using card or cash. Tickets cannot be bought in advance.
All 850 available Yeovil Town supporter tickets have sold out for our home fixture. No further Yeovil Town tickets will be available either online or in person.
SEGREGATION:
The segregation will be from the South West Floodlight Pylon, around to the East Tunnel Gate to the left of the Sportsman Bar. Additional barriers will be placed in these areas to ensure safe segregation.
Any supporters of either club found to be in the wrong segregation area of the ground will be asked to leave the Optima Stadium, under those circumstances no refunds will be issued.
We reserve the right to ask for proof of home address prior to entry to the Optima Stadium, or at any point during the match.
TURNSTILES:
We will be operating 5 turnstiles.
Turnstiles 1 & 2 – YEOVIL TOWN PRE-SALE TICKETS ONLY – located at our main turnstile block next to the club shop.
Turnstiles 3 & 4 – WESTON-SUPER-MARE AFC SUPPORTERS CARD ONLY – located on the opposite side of the ground by our 3G surface.
Turnstile 5 – WESTON-SUPER-MARE AFC SUPPORTERS CASH ONLY – located on the opposite side of the ground by our 3G surface.
It helps with congestion and access to the ground if you queue at the correct turnstile.
WESTON-SUPER-MARE AFC WALKING FOOTBALL, WOMEN’S TEAMS & ACADEMY MEMBERS:
Please note the entrance for Walking Football, Women’s Teams & Junior Academy Members is via Turnstile 4 or 5.
Those eligible members will be admitted entrance as per your team agreement.

WESTON-SUPER-MARE AFC SEASON TICKET HOLDERS:
Your entrance using your Season Ticket Card will be via the players’ and officials’ entrance.
CAR PARK:
Our Supporters Car Park charges £2.00 to park on a match day. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept card payment for this. So please ensure you have £2.00 available to pay on arrival.
For Weston-super-Mare AFC Season Ticket holders, early arrival is recommended, your car park will be for your exclusive use, when full you will be given free parking in the Supporters Car Park, where possible, instead.
Once car parks are full vehicles will be directed to a nearby industrial estate in Oldmixon Crescent.

Weston-super-Mare AFC supporters have access behind the dugouts in the West Terracing, the North Alto Digital Stand, Sportsman Bar, Joe’s Bar, External Food Unit and seating in both Alto Digital Stand and East Stand to the right of the directors.
YEOVIL TOWN SUPPORTERS:
Yeovil Town supporters have the South NK Stand, East Stand seating area to the left of the directors, Somerset Suite Function Room and Main Kitchen.
GROUND REGULATIONS:
Please note our full Ground Regulations are detailed on our website. All spectators are expected to adhere to these regulations during any game held at the Optima Stadium.
Failure to do so can result in expulsion from the Optima Stadium and its facilities with no refund issued.
CLUB SHOP:
Due to the segregation being in effect the club shop will be closed for this fixture.
