WHITEHEAD HEADS TO CIRENCESTER ON LOAN

Weston-super-Mare AFC can announce that striker Ben Whitehead has joined Cirencester Town on a one month loan deal.

Cirencester are currently second in the Southern League Division One South with 10 points from 12, and have seven games within the next month.

Commenting on the loan, Manager Scott Bartlett said:

Ben needs games and some minutes under his belt, we were always conscious of going too long into the season without him getting a run of games and the timing is perfect.

“As well as Ben needing some minutes, we are struggling with injuries at the moment and may need to add something defensively, short term.

“If we decide to, this gives us that opportunity while getting Ben valuable minutes.

“Cirencester is a good loan for him and us, we wish him well and look forward to welcoming him back in due course.”
