WHITEHEAD READY TO START NEW SEASON

Striker Ben Whitehead is raring to go when football gets underway again after an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury that ruled him out for the majority of the 19/20 season.

Manager Scott Bartlett said:

Ben had an unfortunate injury that ruled him out for virtually a whole season.

In the short period of time we saw him, his quality was obvious and we can’t wait to have him back within the group.

The club have looked after him and he has worked extremely hard and is raring to go.

Ben said:

I’m really looking forward to this season more than ever.

With the injury last season, I can’t wait to get back fit and playing football.

The squad that the management are putting together looks really strong and hopefully we can get back to where we all want to be come the end of the season!

Since joining from Cirencester Town last summer, the goal-hungry striker netted two and assisted one in six appearances before suffering his injury away at Truro City in August.

The Club would like to place on record its thanks to Chairman Paul Bliss for sponsoring Ben during the 2019-20 season.

We look forward to seeing Ben return to action upon football’s return.
