YOUNG SEAGULLS HEAD TO SOUTHERN LEAGUE ON LOAN
Goalkeeper Liam Kingston and centre-back George Morris-Edwards have joined Southern League Division One South side Street FC on an initial 35-day loan.
Following promotion from the Toolstation Western League as champions last season, Street are going strong in the Southern League, currently 6th, a point outside the playoffs in a highly competitive division. Currently only three points separate that of 5th-placed Cirencester Town and 12th-placed Bideford Town.
Kingston has currently made 10 appearances for Weston’s first team in competitive competitions, while Morris-Edwards has appeared in 11 appearances in all competitions since both making their debuts in the 2016-2017 season, while still players in Jake Mawford’s U18 title-winning side.
Both players could face league games against Moneyfields, Winchester City, Bristol Manor Farm, Evesham United, Cirencester Town, Paulton Rovers and Fleet Town.
Liam Kingston commented “I’m really looking forward to getting started. I have been waiting patiently for Macca (Marc McGregor) and Chop (Ian Harris) to find the right club for me in order to go back out on loan to get some needed minutes out on the pitch. I’m pleased to be gaining more experience at a good level of football”.
George Morris-Edwards said “I’m looking forward to joining Street on loan, meeting up with their squad and hopefully getting some much needed game time. I’m keen to help them climb further up the table and into the playoffs”.
We wish both players all the very best while at Street.
