YOUNGSTERS SIGN FIRST-TEAM FORMS

Under 18 players Ben Griffith and Callum Eastwood, both central midfielders, have signed first-team forms after an impressive start to their individual seasons.

With a heavy fixture list coming up including the Somerset Premier Cup and Southern League Challenge Cup games against Paulton Rovers, Scott Bartlett has added numbers to his first-team squad.

U18’s manager Syd Camper said:

Callum and Ben have both been outstanding in the past few seasons within the academy and both deserve their opportunity to step up.

Ben has been with the academy since he was in the U13’s age group and Callum has been with the club since signing for the U14’s. Despite both being 17, the pair will be dual registered with Cheddar and Portishead Town respectively, where they have already been playing for the last few weeks, and both also featured for Clevedon Town in the Western League Premier Division in August.

Cheddar and Portishead Town are both pleased for their players to get experience in and around our first-team squad.

We would like to welcome Ben and Callum to the first team and congratulate them on making the step up from the academy.
